Mindy graduated from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Accountancy, then went on to get her M.S. in Accountancy at St. Ambrose University and passed the CPA exam in 2009. She spent 17 years working in positions of increasing responsibility (General Ledger Accountant, Internal Auditor, Internal Controls Analyst, Budget & Forecast Accountant, and Financial Analyst) for a Fortune 100 company, a Financial Controller of a local lumber company, and the Director of Accounting for a nationwide medical staffing company. Mindy started Swank CPA to provide clients with the freedom and flexibility that she needed as a working parent.
